RankQuest WatchRank - Track your keyword performance.

To help you get started with using WatchRank for your Search Engine Optimization activities, here is a quick walkthrough of the key features of WatchRank. Any further help that you may need regarding a product page/feature can be found by clicking on the help link on the top right corner of the page that you are on.

What is WatchRank?

WatchRank is a Search Engine Position Monitoring Software. WatchRank collects website position for keywords or phrases for a specified URL from Google . It is a tool which monitors position of URL, displays variation in position and provides overall performance . Using WatchRank saves time that might be spent on manual searches.

1. What are the basic requirements for getting started?

Click on the Preferences tab and the basic requirements are,

If you already have Google SOAP Search API key, select Get Resulst By Google API and provide your key. Otherwise simply uncheck the check box. To know more about Google APIs refer this page

Enter the Network Details if it is Proxy. WatchRank by default, will treat the connection as Direct connection. If the network connection is Proxy enter the Proxy Host, Port, Username and the Password in the necessary text fields provided.

Also enter the total number of positions in which your URL must be searched in. Enter the value in Maximum number of results option provided in Results section.

Now save the details entered. That is all there for the basic requirements.

2. What about scheduling results?

Click on Preferences tab, to schedule your results just enter the time in Results section. WatchRank by default will schedule the results by 12:00 AM.

3. How to create a new page?

Click on Add New page link present in all tabs of WatchRank product. You will be redirected to Page Configuration tab. Enter the Page Name and Page URL in the opening window.

Now to add keywords you can either import the keywords from the Meta tag of the page entered or add the keywords manually in the Page Configuration tab. To import the keywords just click Import keywords from meta.

To enter the keywords manually Click on Add Keyword option and enter keywords in the opening window.

Finally click on the Save My Page button to save the entire page.That is all there is to configure a Page in WatchRank.

4. How to validate my keywords while entering?

After the addition of necessary keywords. If you need any clarifications on the keyword, click on the icon in Analyze column and the respected result for keyword will be shown in the table.

This will be helpful for effective addition of keywords.

5. Where can I get the reports?

Get a detailed report from the Page Report Tab, Select the necessary Page name and click Fetch results for all Keywords and get the detailed report.

Today's Position	-	The position of the specified keyword for the Page URL.
Position On	-	In the "Compare with" option a date may be specified, by default it will point the day before. The "Position on" will show the position of the specified keyword for the Page URL at the specified date
Diff	-	The Diff shows the difference between the position of your site for the specified keywords with today's position and position of the specified date in Position on.
Weekly Trend	-	The weekly trend is the graphical representation of page's position for a keyword over a week time.

		In the graph, the maximum position is the "Total results" in the table. The graphical representation will help you acess your keywords more easily.
Total Results	-	In the "Preferences tab", the value entered in Results section is shown.
Competition	-	Total number of competitors for the specified keyword is shown.
Fetch Now	-	You can fetch the unique results for each keywords separately by clicking on the icon in Fetch Now.
WatchRank Performance Scale	-	This explains the position of the overall keywords entered for a Page URL. In which, Green represents improvement in position, White represents No Change and Red represents a negative slope in keyword's position.

6. Can I get the overall performance of all my pages?

In the Home Tab, the overall performance of the Pages are shown. The tab mainly consists of Keyword count and WatchRank Performance Scale of the keywords. keyword count is the total number of keywords configured in a page. Performance scale represents the performance of those keywords.

You can also delete/ edit the details of your page with the respective icons in Edit and Delete columns provided.
